Where is Robert?

By Christine Dernederlanden

Chrissy looks for her brother Robert. She soon realizes, with the help of her family and friends, that Robert has died, but lives on in her memories. Her Aunt Jane gives Chrissy and Peanut, her pet dog, a plain white box to create a very special memory box. This book includes a memory box, a box of crayons and a blank memory journal. Published by Robert's Press in 2000.

H.U.G.S. was designed to encourage young children to express themselves and work through the numerous emotions that accompany the grieving process. Each session is outlined and contains clear step-by-step instructions for the crafts. Templates for photocopying. Published by Robert's Press 2004

Quote from a letter to “Chrissy” (Christine Dernederlanden)

"About a month ago my older brother drowned. I would like to thank you for writing such a wonderful book (Where is Robert? Grief kit)...it helped me and the memory box was the best idea to help people like me understand what has happened."
- Tamara Simmons, Bereaved Child
